A little bit
I’m a yoga, psychology and maths teacher, and I believe in practicing yoga as a valuable way to carve out personal time, recharge body and mind, and maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle.
My classes are all about giving my students the opportunity to find balance, with a focus on using the breath to create a link between the body and the mind. They are suitable for all levels of ability, and include postures to build strength and flexibility and a chance to centre and relax.
I have been practicing for over 10 years and received my 200hr yoga teacher certification from the Marianne Wells Yoga School in Costa Rica (http://mariannewells.com). Based on her 'Really, Real' approach to yoga, I invite students to discover and develop their own approach to the practice. I specialise in Hatha yoga but incorporate other styles including Iyengar yoga into my teaching.
For me, yoga is about making the time to stop and appreciate yourself and your body. We’re often so busy meeting the needs of others that there’s nothing left for ourselves. I want to help my students take the calm and clarity that comes after a class out into their everyday life.
